Great. Just great. My new apt. neighbor next door plays nothing but Trane and Bird just a wee bit too loud. And it plays past ten p.m., "A love supreme", "A few of my favorite things", noodling, 45 minute solos, wailing, honking, riffing on and on and on.

I used to have the Trane collection in college, and this guy is a music student, who aparently has no tolerance for any other form of music. I've met the type many times, I call em jazz nazis. Snobs who feel that all other music is trash.

Great. Just great. Oh well, it could be worse I guess, it could be Michael Buble.

1. Sorry to hear that...although not sure if I would mind
compared to what my neighbor listens to...don't ask, I have no f***ing clue what it is that he blasts over there.

2. At least he's listening to good music.
It's still annoying that he forces you to listen in, though. But, I had to endure 5 years of constant merengue and salsa music played loud enough that I could hear from buildings down the street. it sucks when one's space is violated with noise, even if it's a noise one would otherwise enjoy.

18. Try "Octopus's Garden" every morning for months.
The lady upstairs fires up a bowl every morning and plays "Octopus's Garden". I'm gonna leave a horse's head in her bed some day...

8. I got into a stereo contest with him the other night.
Sort of silly I guess, but I put on Live Cream and Captain Beefheart at top volume to drown Trane out.

14. And I think the guy upstairs is William Hung.
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 06:26 PM by Philosoraptor
He plays some weird music I can't pin down and sings along in a really horrible voice, couldn't carry a tune if he had Ella Fitzgerald stuck in his throat.

But when I have visitors they can hear him up there and we laugh our asses off.
