Four penguins killed in crash

A refrigerated truck full of penguins bound from the Indianapolis Zoo to Galveston overturned on U.S. 59 in East Texas early Tuesday, sending highway patrol and animal control officers scurrying to save the flightless birds.

"I have never petted a penguin until this morning," said Department of Public Safety Trooper Richard Buchanan.

about 9 miles north of where I live. It has been a pretty big story in this little town!
