Party at my house on August 16

It's back to school day!

I'm thinking coffee and crumb cake around 9ish.

4. After the hell of this summer

yes, the cognac will flow.

Way too many 100+ days this summer and the kid couldn't go out to play after 10 am. This is going to be another one of those days today.

5. I can't wait till I can afford a house.

Which of course will come with a friggin pool! This summer is very very hot.

6. We have an aboveground.

Just one of those 4 ft deep jobs that has the inflatable tube in it. It does the job-keeps her cool and allows her to play for a bit longer outside on hot days. Even then you still have to worry about sunburn so in the pool she's allowed to play no more than an hour at a time.

She's very pale, almost white blonde hair and blue eyed.

I tell my friends that she was Hitler's dream child. Tall, athletic, intelligent and a blonde/blue eyed baby. Her father's family is German so that helps. In her case I bet he would have overlooked what I gave her.

But, I do get rid of the 18yo houseguest friend of my daughter's in a week, so that is worth celebrating.

They were more interested in the boys that had just graduated from high school.

I definitely felt the brush-off.

Oh well. I plan on harrassing them next cycle and the next until they realize I'm not going away and that maybe I will be that determined at work TO work.
