5. hefty updates with avast

avast always manages to slow down my WoW game while auto updating, it seems to do that just to tick me off!

I used AVG free for a couple years then switched to Avast, and I have had no problems at all so far. I simply like its features a little better than AVG.

edit: I have noticed no difference in speed using both AVG and Avast. Thanks for letting those who do a lot of gaming know about the problems with downloading updates for Avast - I had no idea! :blush:

7. By far, AVG.

It's free, it works very well, and it is easily configured not to interfere with whatever else you are using your computer for. Unfortunately some lesser anti-virus products can be a pain to uninstall. Good Luck!

I use it and it's very good. I schedule a scan for everyday at 8:00AM and it updates itself everyday as well. For freeware, it's excellent. Here's a link:
