New Zealand OKs Topless Porn Star Parade
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 8:58 p.m. ET

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- A lunchtime parade of topless porn stars down the main street of New Zealand's biggest city has been given official approval, as no laws will be broken.

The parade later this month will feature up to 30 porn stars riding on the back of motorcycles or in open cars through Auckland's CBD to promote an erotica exposition.

14. Two guesses for the reasoning (having not seen the ad)
(They might both be wrong, but they're the kind of reasoning the UK can use in these decisions)

The parade is well signposted, and organised, so people will know it's about to happen. They can look away. You get no warning for an ad.

Or:

They may have rules about what you can use 'sex' to advertise. For instance, the UK definitely has rules saying that alcohol adverts aren't allowed to imply that drinking a certain brand makes you sexually attractive, and there may be similar rules for cars too - so if the ad implies Cattrall, or women like her, would sleep with a man if he bought the car, it could get banned.

11. My friend in NZ works in Wellington
But since he's gay and has no interest in the female body, he probably won't bother watching it. Of course if it's campy, he might.
