This DU'er doesn't want to glue myself to Election Results...Movies?
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 06:33 PM by KoKo01
I'm not going to sit through ANOTHER ELECTION result tonight watching the Talking Heads and the "GAME" and the "SHIT" making it all into the ELECTION CONFRONTATION SUPER BOWL for the "WHORE MEDIA" to SPIN me down or up on...

So, if there are any DU'ers who don't want to wake tomorrow DISAPPOINTED AGAIN...is there a good movie to watch tonight? One that's political with humor that one isn't going to wake up at 2:00 a.m. and tune on the cables or hit YAHOO LATEST to get the results because you just couldn't sleep?

What's good to wait it out for those of us who "fear" that it will all be a ROVE ELECTION once again...and we just can't stand the "pain" even though we are still working knowing it's going to take decade?

What's good? SciFi? Goldie Hawn/Chevy Chase? "Trading Places" about Wall St. or that movie "Wall Street" with Martin Sheen and Michael Douglas? Or...maybe some Dickens Movies you've taped and have in the VHS Vault that you haven't thrown out or recorded on DVD? Maybe the Bruce Springstein with Pete Seeger Concert to revive our "sense of roots?"

Or, maybe it's a rewatch of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" with Jimmy Stewart that's a fave for those of us "romantics" who have now understood the "false witness" against "idealists" that the Rovites can do?"

Whatever...anyone have any good stuff sitting in your cabinets...it's kind of too late for Netflix to deliver! :D But, there must be something we have out there in our cabinets that would be worth a good "RE-RUN" or "REPEAT?"

I'd even go for the old "Miss Marples" from PBS or maybe the BIG SERIES of "WAR and Remembrance, Winds of War!"

What...maybe even some "Simpson's Re-Runs?"

3. Go rent Dog Soldiers.
Not political, but a lot of fun. Assuming werewolf flicks are something you like.
