Just went on internet banking - oh dear...
One can't log-in any more without it making one aware that there's to be an "up-grade"...

I'm still irritated with the useful things which vanished last time they "up-graded", I'm also somewhat nervous about the inevitable million new forms of password they're going to expect me to remember (this just to see the account details, not even to move money around).

Why am I turning into a neo-luddite?

2. I do too
about once every five years or so.

I normally know what my balance is in terms of what items should have cleared (the exact arithmetic does escape my mind from time to time), but I do like to confirm that (and keep an eye on the naughty buggers).

Also I'm now on "paperless" banking, which means that they don't have to bother printing me a statement. :P

6. Me too!
:woohoo: and I always will. I worked in a bank and I know what can happen, and I also know that the bank is slow to fix things when they are in your favour. :hi:

5. tj!!!!
I've missed you!!! :loveya:

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I always feel as if, when I log onto those sites, that someone is rapidly righting down all of our info... even though there is rarely much there to steal

7. The more intrusive and cumbersome security gets
the more of a ludite I become. It especially bothers me when I see that they're bureaucratically taking advantage of their customers simply because they can.

8. I can fix that for you
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 10:16 AM by jobycom
Just email me your routing number and bank info, and your SS# and drivers license info. I'll make sure your bank doesn't mess with your money ever again.

And I also represent a Barister in an African nation that shall remain nameless for the moment, but I believe you've won a lottery.

On edit: I guess for the sake of the really gullible Freepers lerking around here, I should confirm that this is sarcasm, and that I don't want anyone's bank account numbers! If those idiot will vote for Bush, they'll believe anything!
