I think the one good thing about the heat this year is
that a lot of people are coming around to finally seeing what global warming is really doing to our world. Even though it is a bit too late, but hopefully better late than never.

2. Even people who were blind to it are seeing it now! It's a
shame that it took something like a massive heat wave to convince people.

4. I do know lots of people getting rid of their SUV's and
buying more fuel efficient cars. It's a step in the right direction. However, there will always be those idiots who refuse to help.

6. Hell, I have to drive to work, I have no choice (if I want
to get there). If I could find a job closer, or could use mass transit, I would. That being said, you wouldn't catch me dead in an SUV.

In fact, little MB had it out with the freeper colonel:

who accosted us at the grocery store. He wants us to thank the troops, yelled at me over the bumper stickers on my car, and hopped into his SUV.

The little one chimed up, "Hey Mister, no one needs a car that big"

7. Haha!! And that is exactly right!
There are bigger vehicles that are still fuel efficient!

5. there is no global warming
i can remember PLENTY of times when it was 100 degrees EVERYWHERE in the U.S. at the same time.

but really, i was talking to this one old dude (a living fossil) and he told me that he remembered cool summers in texas back in the 30s.

they lived without a/c back then and he said it wasn't even really that big a deal.

8. That would be awesome! It is always extremely hot in MS in the
summer. But it has been even hotter this year. It is unreal!
