2. can I say that this totally freaks me out.
I was just reading all about Manson on Wikipedia, then I switch back here and read your post. Creapy.

Why was I reading about Manson? I don't remember how I got there - just kept clicking things in Wikipedia and there I was.

Weird.

13. Susan Atkins periodically requests a second chance via parole
Sharon stood no chance at all

15. I'm a relatively new mom and I just can't even begin
to imagine how terrible it must have been for her to know that she and her baby were about to die.

I don't want to imagine it.

3. Abigail Folger, Voytech (sp?) Frykowski, Steven Parent, Jay Sebring
Don't forget these folks, either. They died on the same night, at the same hands.

5. And don't forget, Sharon Tate was also pregnant when she was
killed. God, what a nightmare that was, and then the murders of Leo and Rosemary LaBianca the next night, made it even worse.

6. And Gary Hinman a couple of days beforehand
Not to mention it was at the hands of Susan Adkins and Bobby Beausoleil.

11. That's right. Thanks for the reminder.
Manson and his gang were some really screwed up folks. And Manson still IS. Eeesh!

18. Horrible.
I watched a special about those murders and they said she begged for her and her baby's life. And poor Abigale Folger, who was chased out into the yard, and told her killer "I'm already dead".

a lot of victims

I was so sorry when I heard Sharon's sister Patti (just 11 when Sharon was killed) died of breast cancer in 2000 at age 42 - she had attended the parole hearings after Sharon's mom passed away in 1992. Sharon's father just died recently.

4. oh cool my favorite monkees song, too!
I remember her in Valley of the Dolls and Polanski's Fearless Vampire Killers and I think those are the only two movies I ever saw her in.

16. she had the most enormous brown eyes
and a beautiful smile, and was by all accounts a very sweet person. Investigators commented how unusual it was during the investigation that in the backstabbing world of acting, not one person had anything bad to say about Sharon
