FWIW, the menu thing looks cool, but its functionality is crap. I've been messing with it for a couple days to try to make it work the way I want, and I'm stuck. I have several apps I run as another user, usually root, and that menu mod doesn't seem to want to let me do it. The organization is also a bit weird. Some things are much easier to find, some nearly impossible.

For the moment I just drop to a terminal to run the apps I need as root, which is actually what I usually do anyway, but I get obsessed with making such things work the way I want. The organization may be a deal-breaker, though. If I can't figure a way to restructure it, I'll end up abandoning it.

Is that a transparent terminal emulator?

I've seen things like that, but nothing quite that cool.

I use Yakuake, which is a drop-down, Quake-like terminal, which can be transparent, but it has borders.

I have my logs displayed to the screen constantly so I can see what is happening with the system.

That one was made with a combination of Poser, Pov-Ray, Wings3D & Paint Shop Pro. At least it keeps my background from getting old. :)

Just a couple of blacklights, some blue uv wire wraps and a blue case fan, but I like it.
