Photoshoppers: What color/lighting tools would you use to fix this photo?

I had the light sensitivity set to ISO 800, and the overhead light was on, so for some of the shots in this series the strobe didn't flash.

I have Photoshop Elements 3.0. Do you know what tools I can use to fix the colors? The doll is blue with violet spots; the blanket is sage green; the cat (obviously) is ginger.

???

1. Hey Bertha...
...I played with my photo tools. Here's the result:

I was unable to make the whole picture look right, but I think it's close...

2. Enhance > Adjust Color >
Hue/Saturation. (Or "hugh/saturation" in the Freeper version.)

You can adjust individual colors (cyan, magenta, etc.) or the whole spectrum at once.

Play around with it.

10. Here's my go at it

I used a Levels Adjustment Layer in Photoshop 7. This was a quickie but after playing around a bit after I uploaded this one I got it better looking by dropping the Opacity of the adjustment layer to about 75%.

Check this website out if you have other image correction problems. RetouchPro.com It's about the best that I've found online so far on the subject, some really talented people there.

edit: Whoa, it seems I blew the shadows out. Didn't look that bad in Photoshop, guess I over compressed it. Note to self preview in browser before uploading. Oh well, it's a starting point for you to try out.
