Sci-Fi Lovers... Help Me To Remember A TV Show...
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 12:00 PM by arwalden
I can't recall the title of it, and it was only on the air for a couple of seasons (three or four years ago) The show took place in Chicago and the story lines revolved around a covert group of folks who hunted down ghosts, aliens, time travelers, zombies, etc.

I don't recall any of the characters names or any of the actors. One of the minor characters was played by a midget. Their headquarters was in the back of an abandoned (?) or run down dry-cleaners.

Do you remember seeing this show? My partner and I were talking about it the other day and he can't recall the name of it either... and now it's bugging me because I STILL can't remember.

Please help!

8. Was it "The Others" by any chance?

Not the over-rated Nicole Kidman flick.

The Others

I think that it aired for about two and a half episodes before being pulled.

9. Threshold?
I seem to remember that one of the characters was a really sarcastic dwarf.

10. "Freaky Links"?..........
I think that's the one you're talking about, right? It starred Ethan Embry ("Empire Records").

11. Special Unit 2.
I absolutely LOVED the first season of that show. And the second season wasn't bad.

 Your memory is much better than mine is.

It was a great show!! But it seems like the fun shows always disappear too soon.

13. Link to IMDB
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0268094/

BTW, another show with a similar theme around the same time was "The Chronicle" on Sci-Fi. Jon Polito was the mysterious editor of a really freaky tabloid (think World Weekly News or The Globe) with two reporters, one male and the other female (Rena Sofer), a photographer, and their research assistant, the "Pig Boy" played by Curtis Armstrong. They took on all reports of strange and bizarre stories which most people think are actually made-up, but in reality were true.

14. You Know... That Was A Good One Too!!!
I remember that "Pig-Boy" character... that was funny! I really don't expect these shows to last for decades... but I think 4 or 5 years would be nice.

15. Yeah,
I know. They always seem to cancel shows that are in any way "uncomfortable." Even if they're among the most creative and innovative things around. :)
