I no longer feel guilty about piracy.
I tried to do the right thing, dammit, but Amazon doesn't ship to where I live and there are no retailers around here selling licensed copyrighted DVDs or software.

So Gaaarrrrrr!

I'm taking to the high seas.

I'd just like to say that the U.S. has a lot of nerve lecturing China about copyright infringement when most of the copyrighted materials were never released there in the first place and are unavailable through any other means.

it's a lot like napster in that it's easy as hell to use, you can search through other users files AND save someone to a friend list if you find someone with a great collection and fast connection...and in any article about sites being taken on by the RIAA i've never heard it mentioned once...

2. Be Careful What You Say...
Seriously, this might not be a safe thing to post on the Internet, since it's a lot easier than you might think to track down your identity (I mean, your city of residence is posted right there in your profile), and you might find yourself in trouble pretty quickly.

I know of one case on a filmmaking board where one member (who worked at a Hollywood post house) posted something that sounded to another member like she was condoning piracy (she wasn't), and that second member reported her to her employer, and nearly got her fired.

In your case, I'm not sure the government there might not crack down on individuals who go public about participating in piracy.

In general, I seriously discourage people from posting anything in which they announce that they're taking part in illegal activities. You have a lot less anonymity on the net than you might think.
