I have a stupid question.
Was Clinton impeached? I hear he was, and I hear it was unsuccessful. I know there was a impeachment hearing of some sort, but I don't know if he was actually impeached.

I was young and didn’t care about politics at the time, please don’t hurt me :spank:

The impeachment trial ended in his acquittal by the US Senate.

4. He was impeached, essentially found guilty
The next step was voting on removal from office or not, the fuckbags couldn't get enough votes for that.

5. Yes.
He was impeached. But the vote to force him to resign failed.

7. The House of Representatives acts like a sort of
grand jury. They "indict" the President -- that's what being impeached basically is -- and then he goes on trial in the Senate. The Senate is one big trial jury. If they get enough votes to convict, he is removed from office. If they don't, he gets to stay.

That analogy isn't perfect, but it's close. Hope it helps.
