Why are childrens' toys so damn loud?
Kiddo's mom sent a see-n-say jumping mat with her to our house this weekend, and I am convinced it's revenge for something.

It's a mat with animals on it, and the kids can jump to the animal by name, sound or number. It has horrible background music and it's LOUD. I mean, to the point where you can't have a conversation if it's on in the same room. To the point where she's pouting right now because we won't let her use it (it's 8:40 and we have an upstairs neighbor who is likely asleep right now).

And there is, to my knowledge, no volume control.

:grr:

1. So that your hearing is sufficiently impaired
by the time they become teenagers. That's just a guess.

2. cause kids are so damn loud?
you have to have a reason to drive your children and their friends to their future therapists offices -- take every opportunity for appropriate revenge!

5. To remind you to be consistent with your birth control
And to give you practice hearing them over each other when they get older if you're less than consistent with your birth control.

Oh...and to make you crazy.

7. My Mother
who thought she was being very cute, got our daughter the Elmo Chicken. If anyone else has had the pleasure of this please let me know. The batteries were taken out after the " Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a duck" song in less then a month. After that it was for special occasions only. Kids love the bright colors and loud noises. I do know that. But geesh. Mom and Dad need a silence break at some point. LOL.

9. They are so damn loud for the same reason that annoying repetitive
"Head On" commercial is so repetitive and annoying; to sell tons of headache medicine. Don't think they don't have our number. They know what they are doing. The filthy conniving greedy bastards.
