I saw the scariest damn movie trailer today
I couldn't figure out the name of the movie. Lots of creepy pale corpses emerging from the shadows in unexpected ways. This trailer freaked out the whole theater. It started with a jolt, and everyone screamed, then laughed nervously. As the trailer moved on, people stopped laughing, and you could hear little whimpers and screams. By the end, you could just feel that people were creeped out. When it ended there was dead silence for a moment, then some man asked "Is it over?" in a scared voice that sounded like his hands were over his face. I'm sure he asked someone near him, but everyone was so silent it sounded like he yelled. Normally you'd expect everyone to laugh at that, but no one did. Everyone was looking around the theater, eyes wide, nodding at each other. Everyone had felt it. Creepiest preview I saw since I "The call's coming from inside the house!" movie (forgot that name, too) decades ago. I've never seen an audience freak out like that.

ANyone know what film that is?

1. "Pulse"?
www.imdb.com/title/tt0454919/

That's what it sounds like.

And the other one you mentioned ("The Call's coming from inside the house!") was "When a Stranger Calls"
I was rather young (eight) at the time I saw that trailer. Couldn't sleep well for days afterwards...and that was just the trailer

2. The first time I saw "When a Stranger Calls"...
I was in high school, it was evening, and I was waiting for my friend to pick me up for basketball practice. I started watching the first few minutes of the movie and he showed up. I told him to watch this movie with me for a few minutes because it was kinda good, what with all the "Have you checked the children" phone calls. And it was just creeping us out, and then when the cops called and said "we traced the phone call. It's coming from INSIDE the house!" we just freaked!! And then we had to walk a mile in the dark to get to school for practice! We ran the whole way because we were freaked!!! :)

3. I don't think so, this one looked creepier. It centered on a house.

7. No, nothing about a cave. This was centered on a house, I think
Not House on the Hill, either. It had a long, complicated name for the web site. I can't find anything about it on IMDB.

8. That's Pulse. I'm not sure. The description sounds wrong, and the title
sounds wrong. I'm still looking at online trailers to see if that's it.
