Are you a cheap or expensive date?
Give me a hunk of bloody meat, a salad and a couple glasses of wine, and I'm happy :9

1. Cheaper than that, I guess.
Hold the meat, but I'll take the salad. Since I don't weigh very much, 1 glass of wine will probably do the trick.

2. Hell, I'm fine with a "date" being in one party's home.
Edited on Sat Aug-05-06 02:21 PM by ZombieNixon
A little snuggling and I'm perfectly happy. :D

I am, however, willing to *spend* a lot of money on a date if I happen to have the cash.

3. I'm cheap, cause I insist on paying
It's not that it's a man/ego thing. If I really like a girl, I like to take HER out and show HER a good time. I look as a date as a gift and you wouldn't want someone to pay for their gift would you?

(And I don't mean a gift because it's with me..I just mean.. you know, whatever)

because if its a crappy gift I can return it for a refund, or at least a card with store credit on it.

16. I tend to like to be wined and dined initially.
Not out of materialism, but out of appreciation for a man who puts some time and effort into things. In long term relationships, I tend to be content with pizza, beer, and a good DVD (with the occasional wining and dining). :D

19. I'm cheap.
If a man wants to spend decent money on me, I like for it to be on something that will last longer then a night- that's just how I am. Take me shopping if you wanna thin out your wallet... otherwise, let's rent a dvd or eat cheap chinese food at the local buffet. If it's nice out I'd rather take a walk then sit in some expensive uncomfortable restaurant.

20. Cheap. I love good food, but would rather make it myself than
dine out. And I prefer talking over a glass of wine to virtually any other activity - except maybe dancing. I've lived cheaply, I've lived with wealth, and I'm back to poverty. It doesn't matter at all to me because I'm a simple woman :)

25. Cheap,
A walk on the beach, going for a sail, hiking in the woods, sitting on the dock with a glass of wine all make me very happy. When I was dating and a girl didn't like the outdoors, she didn't last long.

I only liked the nature girls. I ended one relationship because the girl said the motion of the boat hurt her boobs (she was quite well-endowed). I thought if they are too big for boating, then I don't want to play with them.

31. Date? What's that?
Seriously, I come from a time where people didn't "date" much -- generally hung out with others in their peer group until couples gradually paired-off. You got to know each other quite well without having to go through the "dating ritual."

I think I've only been on three or four official "dates" in my lifetime -- once when I was 17, the others twenty-three years ago, between the end of my first marriage and the beginning of the relationship that was to become my current one.

Nothing pleases me more than to have a nice dinner with a handsome boy, wearing jacket and tie, and eating by candlelight in a nice, pleasant restaurant.

My boyfriend on our first date surprised with me with dinner at the Mansion on Turtle Creek and afterwards an exciting concert by the Dallas Symphony. It's something we continue to enjoy doing to this day :)

I do enjoy simple dates, but it seems the more expensive dates are the ones that really take my breath away.

I prefer relaxed dates - I don't want to sift through 17 forks to find out which is the right one to use...having said that, I do love going out somewhere swanky once in a while. (or as swanky as this city gets...)

I love going to the theatre, or to see an indy movie/documentary. The symphony would be impressive.

56. I actually won a contest one time with my dream date idea.
It was a contest about Deborah Harry of Blondie. What date you be your dream date with her? was the question. I said, I'd take a loaf of bread and take her to feed the ducks at the graveyard pond in town where I live. I was the only one who entered the contest, so I won. I don't remember what I won though. Oh well.

I'm the cheapest date of all. What I would like for someone I like to do for me? I'd like them to watch Sid & Nancy, Harold & Maude, and some other offbeat love stories/romantic movies on the VCR with me and maybe eat pizza. If my oven was worth a damn, I'd make my funky homemade pizza with crescent rolls. It's not really like pizza, but it still tastes pretty good to me. Some people have liked it and some have said it's funky. Oh, and I already have Sid & Nancy and Harold & Maude on VHS, so that part wouldn't cost anything.

For a first date I prefer expensive because those places are usually quieter and we can get to know each other a little easier.

After that a burger and fries at a cheap, and loud, place is fine.
