My third painting in 23 years...

I'm taking a painting class, haven't painted in years for whatever reasons. What do you think?

3. Nope, just a study in Black & White...

the teacher is starting off in monocrome - we'll switch to color as the class goes along.

6. That's an excellent teaching method.

I began the same way, and then moved on to a limited palette of just six colors, forcing me to learn to mix colors. :thumbsup:

7. That's exactly what he's doing...

he had us get a limited palette:

Titanium White

Cadmium Yellow Light/Pale (warm yellow)

Yellow Ochre (cool yellow)

Cadmium Red (warm red)

Alizarin Crimson (cool red)

Ultramarine Blue (cool blue)

Black (warm blue)
