2. It's shot as a reality show.

If I had to compare it to anything, I'd say it's a white trash version of Absolutely Fabulous.

9. The mother was a fantastic character

and brilliantly portrayed. There was a fine line between her being crafty, and her being spacey - and often you didn't know on what side of that line she was. (my guess was usually crafty, though...) :D

14. I've forgotten the line but there was one episode

where the son was in trouble over something, and the mother advised him to just pretend he didn't know what was going on and that he had forgotten where he was, and that everyone would believe him and do what he asked them to do, and there was a moment's silence as mom realized she had said too much and son realized what she was saying, and then mom slipped back into the spacey character and said something crazy. I used to use that last line all the time. Now I can't remember it.

16. That Almost Happened to Ali G

He was at an NRA convention I think and he kept asking this redneck if he was gay. After Ali G had asked him about three times, the redneck got very agitated and told Ali that if he asked him that question one more time that he was going to kick his ass. Ali G really knows how to push all the right buttons. Did you see his interview with Newt Gingrich? Now that was hilarious.
