My pet spider Horace is missing.
Edited on Fri Aug-04-06 06:41 PM by LeftyMom
Horace, a daddy long legs spider, lives between the torchiere lamp and the wall three feet north of LeftyKid's bed. Now he's gone and I miss him everytime I see the fly he caught for dinner hanging limply. Where could he have gone? Is he dead? :(

1. sorry -- i don't think they live very long.
i'm an arachnophobe who doesn't bother spiders in his house as long as they stay put.

other wise -- it's the glass jar and trip outside.

i wonder if they are ever surprised when they find themselves outside -- i mean they are indoor spiders?

3. Poor Horace

I got daddy longlegs all over the place. I call 'em all "Dude." Lotta times they hang out in the shower. I try not to get 'em wet.

4. We have a lot here
I have a strict relocation or spider heaven policy for the others but they can live thier lives in peace provided they are smart or lucky enough to stay away from the cat.

9. That reminds me I haven't seen Gobbles in a few days.
Gobbles is the lone wild (but acts tame) turkey that visits our yard and eats what falls from the birdfeeder. It also clumsily flies up onto the deck railing and eats the flowers.
