Designated Driver Kicked Out Of Bar For Not Drinking

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- A designated driver said he was tossed out of a bar in Pinellas Park for not drinking.

Gary Maujean Junior had spent his Friday's at Carlie's Lounge sipping Cokes and water and listening to music. That's even where he met his wife.

But now he's suing the owner for cuts and bruises he said he suffered the night he was thrown out of the bar. Maujean said he was told to either order alcohol or leave.

The suit filed in Pinellas County also asks a judge to stop the bar from "forcing patrons to drink alcoholic beverages."

Carlie's owner, Vincent Romano, told The St. Petersburg Times that the customer was falling asleep at the bar and that he never asked Maujean to leave because he was drinking water. Romano also added that there is no bar policy requiring patrons to drink alcohol.

I've been kicked out for not drinking. Granted, I was drinking earlier. A lot. And then I ran out of money. And took my pants off and stuff. But I wasn't drinking either.
