Holy crap, this stuff is good.
I got a pint of Carrot Cake flavor Rice Cream (a vegan ice cream.) It is sooooooooooooooooo very good, sweet with chewy chunks of carrot cake all through it. Maybe better than Soy Delicious Purely Decadent in Peanut Butter Zig Zag if you can believe it.

1. Woah, Peanut Butter Zig Zag is awesome.
Is the carrot cake rice cream made by Rice Dream? I'll have to look for it. I love carrot cake anything.

2. no, this is a new line
I hate how similar the names are, it's just bound to create confusion.

Here's the product line (I can't wait to get some of those sundae cups as soon as someplace here carries them.)

I'll keep an eye out though on my next trip to Whole Foods.

6. It's brand spanking new
So far the only place here that has it is Trader Joes, and our food co-op has pretty much every decent vegan thing out there (except toffuti, 'cause they have an anti-transfat policy.) I think the distro's still a bit spotty, so if you don't see it yet keep looking. The mint chip and chocolate peanutbutter were great too.

3. I'm afraid they'll kick me out of New England if I say in public that
I don't eat ice cream. That's a sacrilege in this area.

So we'll just keep it between us two, right?

5. Jeez...I'm only in New England part time and I consider it practically
a food group. You know the four food groups: alcohol, fish, tofu, ice cream

8. In my case: Alcohol, tobacco, Vicodin, and cheesesteak hoagies.
Sorry for the last one, but I lived near Philadelphia for a long time.

10. Well, if we're counting tobacco & pills then it probably turns into...
Alcohol, tobacco, adderall, fish

7. Kinda like California and mexican food?
My sister won't eat anything spicy. I keep threatning to drop her off on the other side of the Nevada border, because she obviously doesn't belong here.

13. Rice isn't a vegetable.
Regardless, rice & soy ice cream is very good. Most people can't even tell the difference between a tofutti ice cream sandwich and a dairy one.

18. Well, I figured that when you said...
"Fucking vegetable ice cream?" you meant rice or soy. Neither of which are vegetables. One is a grain and one is a legume.

19. (Carrot is a vegetable.)
I'm not sure how I'd like a carrot-cake-flavored ice cream (as carrot cake itself is a once-in-a-blue-moon thing for me), whether it was soy, rice or dairy.

I did really like some Rice Dream chocolate/brownie stuff we got awhile back -- yes, I can tell the difference, but I sometimes prefer that. As an omnivore, I like vegetarian/vegan stuff in its own right -- not as a replacement or as an analog but on its own. (I like Gimme Lean soysage but don't really care for meat breakfast sausage, for instance.)

...other than Cherry Nirvana.

That does sound intriguing...is it spicy carrot cake? That's the best kind!
