My name is Saje Williams and I'm an author of what I'm calling (this week) 'futuristic urban fantasy.' I create worlds of monsters and magic that are strikingly similar to our own. My own personal website is http://www.sajewilliams.com and it's dedicated to my unique "Infinity Project." I also do reviews and the graphics for my wife's website, Loveromances & More.

Words are my life.

But, as you can tell, I also post here on DU and achieve as much satisfaction from my political essays as through my fiction. More, in some ways. My essays are designed to pass along, to counter some of the Right (Wrong) Wing e-mails with which some of us are continually being bombarded.

There are others that are intended to raise the spirits of those who may be growing discouraged by the state this country and world find themselves in.

I often work cooperatively with another prestigious poster, the incomparable Nance Greggs, as we will read something the other writes and use it to springboard into another essay of our own.

Occasionally I throw in a piece of satire just to mix things up. I try to craft stuff that is both thought-provoking AND amusing, with varying degrees of success.

If you haven't yet the opportunity to read some of my essays, I invite you to follow me on this retrospective journey, starting from the most recent and reaching back in time. You will find most of these essays rather timeless, since I work off of general progressive principles rather than the issue of the moment.

...reading it concurrently with Harry Turtledove's latest installment of his US-Confederate World War II saga, in fact, which is a real trip, believe me...
