Sparring with one arm dangling really sucks. Having your sensei "fix it" sucks more.

:scared: He has an orange belt (and moving up) in iaido (SP?) and his sensei has recommended him for a martial arts school in Japan. I guess he'll be learning more arts.

22. Iaido is cool! I wish there was a place to study that by me.

The way I did it in karate was by having someone jam my punch and I had stupidly locked my elbow. It was my fault. A total beginner's mistake (I was a green or a blue belt at the time).

As far as I'm concerned the injuries in the martial arts were worth it. The only other potentially serious one was a kick to the head during my blackbelt testing. Everything else was just bruises.
