Sappy greeting cards .
Can someone please make cards for relatives that you don't really like? Sorry, I don't think my mom is the best or want to wish her a birthday full of love that she deserves. :puke: I barely know my grandmother, so I don't want to talk about the special memories that make her the best grandmother.

Am I the only one that has this problem??

1. I sometimes buy the blank cards and write "Happy _______________" on the
inside. I'm not the sappy type!

2. Yeah. Then it's obvious there was no card that fit.
:-) I usually go for the funny ones to avoid that. Though the funny ones are usually "i was such a bad kid" or something to that effect. Wasn't in the mood for that bs today. I guess I should have gotten a blank card and written "I'm only sending you a card so that you won't bitch at me."

Heat's making me cranky. Can you tell?

The heat is not having a very good effect on me, either! :)

4. Go generic
White stock with "Birthday Card" or whatever on the front and nothing inside.

5. Nothing inside means that I would have to write something.

7. Greeting cards suck
And what sucks worse is that people actually think they mean more than a handwritten note, which should mean much more considering that you actually have to take the time and make the effort to think of something to say yourself.

My biggest pet peeve about greeting cards is that it's very difficult to find birthday cards for anyone over about the age of 12 that don't make rude remarks about how "old" the person is.

I'm old fashioned - if I want to mark someone's birthday or other occasion, I'll usually hand write a note on nice paper or a blank card - that way I can say what I want to and not what Hallmark thinks is cute this season. :puke:
