1. i bet they will, here's a wild story

i found a check 12 years old for $8 (!) from a bank, i looked up the bank's new name, ownership, and location and sent the check back with a letter explaining i had forgotten to cash it and just now found it -- the check was actually from some bank account i had there for some forgotten reason

i figured they wouldn't bother but, hey, a stamp doesn't cost so much, so why not ask

in a short time i received a new check, if i recall correctly it even had a few pennies interest on it
