I will NEVER watch MTV ever, ever again
It was a Britney Spears song. Or was it Jessica Simpson? Either way, they look alike - as does every new "voice" thrusted out by the RIAA...

It featured her licking an ice cream cone in a disturbingly lewd way.

And, yeah, that's enough for me.

Just sad that music videos used to be creative and nowadays it's all overt, non-creative smut.

2. Sorry, I've not seen any recently... nothing since
the video for "Debbie" (The B-52s, 2000).

Double entendres are one thing, but even I have a line about direct and obvious statements.

More importantly, I'm jealous and I want some too. :P

4. Absolutely not.

MTV needs some more good clean Christian white bands like Whitesnake.

5. GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!

:scared:

So the band members are showing how "big" they are. Yawn.

Nice to know this garbage started in the 80s. It figures, rather...

Sex is not the enemy. Shock-value lewdness is.

whitesnake was Xian?! :wow:

6. MTV is playing music videos again?
It's been nothing but 24 hours a day of bullshit reality shows for the past 10 - 15 years and I haven't even seen a music video on MTV for about that long.

Am I tuning in at the wrong times?

8. This was over the weekend... or was it mtv2?? VH1?
It was a video channel...

I can;'t believe MTV ran out of videos so they turned to "reality" shows...

Mind you, if sci-fi channel can make "reality" shows, you know there's a problem. Won't license proper sci-fi so they make their own fiction programs and call it reality...

9. They have a 1/2 hour show.
I always wonder why MTV never seems to get more credit for starting the reality TV thing with Real World. Survivor is trying to take the credit.

10. Probably cause there was not "competition" on Real World
Hence, Survivor was much more American, more capitalist, don't'cha know.

7. Its because the songs are so..
bad and the music so uninspiring that all thats left to sell is the soft porn...why dont they just go the whole way and just do them naked...at least that would be funny with some bands:nuke:

11. That's Jessica Simpson I think
and I hear they had to shoot that scene over and over because she just wasn't getting it right.
She has no natural sex appeal, IMO

12. MTV is dead

House-broken by the corporate dollar and sellout whores. Those who ran MTV years ago were progressive in both thought and act, oftentimes bringing real hard news to the younger generation.

I remember items MTV had on the hunger concerts back in the 80s, Rock The Vote, activism, hell I remember they even did stuff when the Exxon tanker spilled its nasty shit all over Prince William Sound. They brought political candidates to forums so young people could engage in the process.

NOW? Its nothing but total crap, absolute garbage with emphases on superflous garbage, "cribs", being "punked", and how many material possessions one can shove up one's ass. Robin fucking Leach should run that station for all I care.

14. all I can think about re: this is Madonna on all fours
licking that milk out of a bowl in the Express Yourself video. But this whole 'pedophilia' theme that Spears and Simpson have been promoted with is disturbing, I agree. Back in the 90's the violated kinder-whore look was in, at least that was more honest and was attempting to tell a truth. Now they are selling either side of the same lie; the sexualized child, or the child-mind in the body of an adult woman. Both give me the creeps.

16. Sadly for women

Women in music have a brutal time making it...The "pretty women" that may not have a lick of talent are given songs, given videos, given record deals, and told to unbutton the blouse and lip sync into this here mic.

Meanwhile, there are countless, millions of brilliantly talented women who don't get a chance because they didn't go have a boob job.

Aretha Franklin needs to go kick their ass ...

I'm embarrassed to admit that I know that. The only good part of that video is Andy Dick.

And lately, it's been absolutely disgusting the way that they've been glorifying the uber-rich crowd with shit like Super Sweet 16 and Laguna Beach. :puke:
