I hate Comcast
I hate it. I hate it beyond anything else. Since March, I have had twice weekly outages and once weekly technician visits. 23 visits in all. The box has been replaced 14 times. It is August.

I have been waiting for this asshole to show up since yesterday morning. They claim that they have "missed me" our my address "doesn't exist". That is news to me considering I have been holed up in the fucking house for 24 hours without leaving.

Do people aspire to this level of idiocy and incompitence? I recieved a call earlier where they were offering my phone and internet. I told them no fucking way.

I hate these people.

1. Sheesh! Get That Blood Pressure Back Down!
Maybe your rant helped to vent that pressure, huh? I'm not nuts about them. I think there is an institutional incompetence in that company that is quite vexing. The line folks (the techs in the field) seem good and are very civil. And, the lowly paid CustServ phone folks are always nice, but too many things go wrong with the service for me to think the mgmt. and design folks are anything but buffoons.

4. After 5 months, it has become a vendetta
I am sick of arranging my life around this. No one else in the building is having these problems.

I have a meeting at 3 that I cannot miss. I need to prepare for it, but of course, I am here waiting as I have been.

I am so angry that I am shaking from the inside out.

It is other things as well. Plus, I don't think I will have problems due to repressed rage after all of this. :)

I have the most important meeting of my life at 3:00

2. they do suck
they kept claiming "box problems" too...the real problem was the cable into the house. It didnt have the capacity. They gave me such a run-around that I ended up calling the CEO's office in Philadelphia. Result? I got the right service the very same day AND a follow up call the next day from the executive response team to make sure I was satisfied. Too many people let the local offices get away with this crap. Call the headquarters and demand action. You are probably what they call a high value customer with both tv & internet service. Bitch to them and loudly!

5. supposedly someone is coming out
and they are sending the "special response team". I am on the phone with the office in Philly right now.

I think my rants are out of body I am so angry.

My internet service is through my apartment building. If it were through comcast, I wouldn't be able to get online!

3. I used to have Time Warner, but I moved recently. Now I have Comcast.
Have had no problem with the service, so far, but the programming absolutely sucks, compared to Time Warner. At least with the former, I had probably forty out of 75 channels worth watching. With Comcast, probably half that number. If you love home shopping networks, you'll love Comcast.

9. They must. Have they not a cell phone or other means to call??
Sheesh. I work my ass off as loyalty and most coworkers just do the usual 9-to-5 "it's just a job" thing. Yet they get training and perks and I don't.

Hmmm...

People don't aspire by themselves. It takes two to tango.

10. I have DishNetwork, but I was going to switch
to Comcast because I was sick of losing my signal everytime it rained. So I called Comcast and set up an appointment to have it installed. I was told that the technician would be out between 12 and 2 p.m. Well, 12 rolled around and then 2, and no technician. I had taken the day off work so that I would be home. Finally, I received a phone call from Comcast and was told the technician would be at my house at 6 p.m. I said that I had wasted a whole day off work waiting. I then told the person on the phone to take their cable and shove it.

11. They're comcastic!
:sarcasm:

I'm not too pleased with them either. I have them for cable, internet and phone. Their services suck from their products right on through to their customer service. They turned my name over to one of those services that collects equipment not turned in. They were trying to recover a modem that didn't work properly. Their service person took it with him when he replaced it in my home. :eyes: Of course, when I called them to explain the situation, the Comspastic rep promised to look into it and get back to me. I'm still waiting...

I think they bit off more than they can chew...

12. Well, in a year, your worries will be over.
They merged with Time/Warner cable and they'll be taking over ComCast's service. At least where I live anyway.

I'd better not see a single DROP in internet speed or channel selection, damn it.

Especially when the rest of us are simply the audience waiting for the smashed watermelon.
