Nothing too serious. Looks like it was a 4.7 -- but it shook real good. :scared:

Hope there's no aftershocks. I really hate those.

7. Same here.

The first moved back and forth slowly and then the second was an upward jolt. It seemed to last a long time too - like the slow-motion effect of being in an accident. Creepy! {{{shudder}}}

Was this your first earthquake? :hi:

8. that is a perfect description of it!
I am getting better at it as they come and go- this was my third and fourth, or just my third really. first was in Sacramento and the others have been here.

I am getting used to the idea of earthquakes, I am addicted to the quake map on craigslist, I check it all the time. and the usgs shake map is very cool too. They are still very scary though.

9. Uhhh, no thanks. I'll keep our hurricanes where we get eight days notice.
One thing about our hurricanes...they don't sneak up on ya!

Hope you'all are well and safe!

13. Thanks for the good wishes.
The sneakiness sure is an adrenaline rush.

Apparently this earthquake was strong enough to knock pictures off the wall, water from swimming pools, wine glasses off shelves, etc. up around the epicenter. That seems odd for a 4.4 quake.

12. Clearly.
The old "I shall smite thou with earthquakeths" retribution.
God is such a meany about all things gay, except when it's lesbians. He gets off on that.
