preprogrammed scripts and a function to record your own hypnotic message. I just created "I don't love X any more." It's too late for me to spend an hour deprogramming myself, but I'm really looking forward to it. Hypnosis works for me though I have no idea why.

Sound nuts? I'm going to try it anyway :)

I used hypnosis to cure my IBS when diet modification and drugs failed utterly. I'm hopeful about this :)

I think success depends on how much you're willing to succumb and trust the effect. I went to a living hypnotist years ago, for depression. It didn't work because I was self-conscious about being watched while trying to relax. So, for me, the CDs and DVDs are easier.
