I find myself doing it a few times a week and I don't know why.

I'm into lots of things, but that ain't one of them...

As for attempting to obtain special favors from management, I do not engage in that activity either. It is pointless these days.

I recently left a good paying job because I was asked to brown nose in a way that affected a lot of people, and I said fuggedaboutit. Instant resignation.
