Jack is...wierd... He's been excited to go off to school this week, but two days in a row I've gotten notes home about him becoming "sad" about an hour or so into school, and crying at snack and lunch time and repeatedly falling asleep. Highly unusual for him, particularly since he's been sleeping fine at home. I'm thinking if it happens again, I'm going to bring him in for a quick check-up. I'm still wondering about one of his ears. He seems okay at home.:shrug: How are you and the clan doing?

It's really hard on Mike because he needs to walk for his recovery and it is too hot. So, he took the poor little broken footed one to the art museum. Now, you can just imagine how much fun that is for a 14yo boy. :eyes:

Your little guy broke his foot? How did that happen?:( I used to haul Noel around the Art Institute in Minneapolis. It worked well enough when he was two, and in a stroller. There was a Richard Avedon exhibit there that he actually seemed to be pretty entranced by.

28. VCU Basketball camp.

Walked around on it for a day and then told us it still hurt. The trainer couldn't believe it was broken because he didn't cry or anything and he told me that he had his college kids who would cry if that happened to them.

He's a tough little sucker. But, with Mike out of commission, he was my muscle and that went out the window also.

We bought new sunroom furniture over the weekend and they didn't put it on the truck :eyes: so we had to go get it, which was fine, but getting it in the house was such a pain because it was so bleeding hot. I ended up having to pay two of his friends to do it for me.

He's the one who carries in the groceries and the load from Price Club, so I don't think I will be making a Costco run until he is walking again.

I hope he's on the mend fast! It's so dang hard to do anything when it's sweltering. My house was a wreck after the last week. I was just trying not to move, to stay cooler. I'm amazed your son was walking around with a broken foot! I'D be crying for sure!

I remember taking a case of Thunderbird to Tom Gardner's Wine, Cheese and Jazz Party in Berlin...the woman at the shoppette who checked me out mentioned that I was the first white man to ever buy a whole case of this. I mean, why not? There were 12 bottles in a case when I bought it, and a person could walk out the door with change from his $25. It was meant to be a joke...unfortunately, the Morse interceptors drank the whole fucking case before Tommy could get the good stuff uncorked. (No, Morse interceptors really aren't useless drunks. They're very useful, even though they're drunks.)

Somehow I never got the courage up to drink any of this.
