We Sold Our House!!

I heard that most accidents happen within 20 miles of home, so we're moving 150 miles away. :crazy:

Actually, we've been trying to sell our house since May, and no one wanted to buy. We have a nice 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house and I couldn't figure out why we couldn't sell. I really want to get out of Houston as the traffic is driving me nuts.

Our contract with the realtor ran out on Thanksgiving, so we put out a sign For Sale by Owner. We sold it within a week, with 2 other people coming by wanting to buy it because they had seen the sign earlier.

Of course, the fact that we drastically reduced our price had nothing to do with it.

Needless to say, I'm stressed to the hilt which is making me nauseous, because we'll be moving a couple of days before Christmas.

However, I'm not pulling the plug on my computer until absolutely necessary, so I'll still be posting for awhile.

Anyhow, I would like to ask you all to please keep yourselves and DU safe while I'm gone cuz I love you all, and please be here when I finally get back on...I don't know when that will be.

3. We moving to

a little place about 20 miles past Lufkin called Etoile. It's going to be a drastic change for us as we'll be giving up a lot of conveniences, but I think it will be worth it.

from where we'll be, but I hope there are some Dems and DUers nearby.
