What the hell is this key for? . . . How many such keys on YOUR ring(s)?

I only have one. It's a tiny one, probably to luggage. But since TSA doesn't let us lock our luggage anymore, why am I keeping it?

How many keys are on your ring(s) that you don't know what they're for? (I know, lousy grammar. :shrug:)

Two for my car and one for my apartment.

Hmm... let me help.

Does your church have a baptistry? What about communion stuff? Gotta keep the wine locked up -- or is it grape juice, like we had? Is there an altar-type communion with pretty chalices? Are the choir robes & vestments (?) locked up? Does your church have a place where you bury the ashes of cremated members?

You'll figure 'em out . . . ;)

7. Answers:

1. Nope. No baptistry. Maybe a few reformed baptists, though.
2. Communion stuff is kept in the kitchen.
3. Grape juice. We *are* Methodists, after all.
4. We have a display case with some historically important stuff, but that key is covetously being kept by someone in the church. Even Jesus doesn't have a key to that one.
5. Choir robes are in a hall closet with accordion-fold doors. I find that kind of amusing. ("welcome to heaven, here's your harp - welcome to hell, here's your accordion.")
6. No place for the ashes... although I'm fairly convinced there are several skeletons around here.

I suspect that most of the keys are no longer functional - and I'm the first pastor to notice.

5. I voted none..because they're not on the key ring but in a junk drawer

and who knows what they open! But..you know if I toss them we'll find out we need one. Seriously though, DH has lots of tool boxes and locks and such so I know some go to those things.

I've joked about when DH and I die, the kids are gonna have a heckuva time figuring out which key goes to what. Guess that should go on my list of things to get done..matching keys to what they open.

8. I have 5 keys

car key and 4 house keys, I know one goes to my kitchen door and another to the front door, but I'm not sure what the other two are for. maybe the storm doors that I never lock?
