What flat-screen TV should I get?

Related to 1monster's post, my TV died the other day. I have to buy a new one tomorrow (Wednesday).

Which of the different kinds of flat-screen TV should I get? (I have forgotten the differences, but it seems there are three types.)

I have Direct TV satellite feed. I can't afford very much, so don't mind a smaller screen, but want the BEST QUALITY PICTURE, no matter the size, and best features. Which brands are the best? I don't have HD, but guess I should be prepared for it.

Any suggestions on websites, reviews?

These are currently some of the best value AND highest picture quality you can find. I have a 32" and 19" and they are simply amazing. They look good with standard cable and satellite TV, they look great with DVDs, and they are absolutely stunning with HDTV (I also have DirecTV and the HD package, at $10 per month, is definitely worth it!).
