5. I was personally devastated.

I couldn't sleep. I felt as if I were in continuous pain. The agony of not knowing paralyzed me. I tried to talk about it, but no one would listen. Now one seemed to grasp the abyss of doubt and questions that penetrated through each feeble attempt to distract myself.

More and more I felt that my choices and options were vanishing. Pangs of despair rocketed through each of my synapses, and the sheer magnitude of the darkness of vast shadows, cast by the looming peaks of anguish, peaks lifted as if directly out of hell by forces to terrible to contemplate, filled me with a sense of impotence and fear.

Other than that I figured you were just away for a few days taking a well deserved break.
