And the ones that drive too fast arent the most annoying. The ones that drive too slow, especially in the wrong lane, clueless drivers, those that weave in and out of their lanes, the drivers that are not aware of what a turn signal is and how to use it, those who cut in front of ou/cut you off, only to go slow, drivers who pull into driveways to stripmalls or any other place and sit there blocking traffic on the street and access to the stripmall...
Do you think that the advent of cellphones and SUV's have a little to do with it? Or are people just dumber, ruder, clueless and more inconsiderate than in the past?
Perhaps its the area that I live in? San Diego has the worst drivers I've ever seen. And I grew up in Boston.

So is it just me? Or do you notice this too?

8. Been driving since 1972.
Only two moving violations. Last one in 1984. Never been in an accident either. My insurance is low too.

9. Well, that blows your question then.
You're not a bad driver at all, so it can't just be you.

4. Red light running is like an epidemic, here.
I won't proceed on green until I've looked very carefully in both directions.

And what is it about putting a cell phone up to ones ear and turning into a total f'ing drone? It's like the device just SUCKS the ole end user right out of his/her head.

Oh, and don't think I don't know, for a fact, that your $70,000 Audi/Benz/BMW DID INDEED come with working turn signals. Just because you've got a hefty car payment doesn't excuse you from their use. Fucker.

Lastly, if it's too damn big for you to drive or properly park, then don't got-damned buy it!

I feel better. That said, yes, I do notice more bad drivers out there.

7. Out here they sit at the light when it turns green.
A cellphone is usually involved.
Today I was driving down a street. Speed limit was 40 . This man was at a stop sign at a side street watching me as I drive 40. He looks at me and when I'm 30 feet away, going 40, he pulls out in front of! I had to slam on my brakes or I'd have hit him.
WTF was he thinking?

11. If I had a nickel for everytime that happens to me! ARGH!
I love when they do that, and you can see their faces looking DIRECTLY at you! Then I look in the rearview mirror to of course see no one behind me at all.

12. I blame Ralph Nader
Back when cars were unsafe at any speed drivers had to be careful. Now they just have a 'what the fuck' attitude. I learned to drive in one of those old VWs with the gas tank in the front, a strong incentive to avoid collisions.

13. I think whenever republicans are in charge, people's behavior goes down
Sure seems that way to me.

You get the people who are being fucked by the government, and so they're angry, and so are rude to others.

And then you have the republicans/freepers/etc. who see their heroic and godly leaders screwing people and living by a "might makes right" philosophy, and so they act rudely in public because they've been given permission by their Jesus-lovin' leaders.

I don't know if it was like this before Reagan, though I have a feeling that it probably wasn't, at least not to such an extent - I think the big variable that's been added to the equation is the marriage of rightwing asshole Christianity with the republican party.
