Weather report.
High 90s in SE IA with heat index at 101. Humidity so high you can wring your shirt out. Clouds on the western horizon though and hope of rain in the forecast.

2. Now you know what Florida feels like in August
I think the worst humidity I've ever been in was while I was in Maryland ('87-'88), though. You'd sweat just laying on the couch inside your house. People who are not used to the high temps and humidity suffer the most.

If you must go outside, put a cool, wet rag around your neck; wear a hat. And keep your fingers crossed for any rain.

3. Florida feels like that just about all year.
I never realized that there were seasons and not just perpetual summer until I moved up here to North Georgia.

9. Hey fellow DC'er
I know... I walked outside for two minutes to get lunch and thought I was going to pass out. Ready for it to get cool again Of course as soon as it gets cold, I'll be wishing it were 100 degrees again :P

:hi:

Typical August in D.C. Hazy, hot and humid. Stagnant, smoggy air. Maybe the heat's getting to me, but it actually feels cooler today than it did yesterday.

Thank goodness for air conditioning!

7. 95 in Ann Arbor, MI
With a heat index of 102.

Hot and humid as it is, though, it still doesn't feel as humid as New Orleans did to me last week. I swear, the humidity there increases at night. It was like a wet blanket.
