My 21-year-old cat gets wet food as a treat
When she has her fill, she tries burying the leftovers by scratching on the floor around her bowl. Isn't that cute?

1. 21 years old? She looks great for her age.
What is that is human years?( isn't it 1 human year=7 dog/cat years?)

That would put her at 147!! Yikes.

She's beautiful.

:hi:

3. She's my sweetie
My ex has had her since he was 13. When he moved out a few weeks ago, I begged him to let me have her.:-)

10. My 23 year old just died last week.
Peacefully, in her sleep.

This is what you get when you keep a cat inside only.

14. I thank you for that
but she was very old and she went very peacefully. I added my comment only to show that 21 is not so strange for an indoor only kitty. We had another that was 20 when she died.

And the oldest verified cat at it's death was 35. So with care and indoor living, we can have them with us a lot longer than most think we can.

17. I'm so sorry, China cat.
Thankfully, she passed peacefully.
I've lost many cats over the years.

The pain subsides with time,
but we never forget them.

5. When my cats do that,
they're telling me "I've had enough of this shit." And it reminds me more of their burying it like they do other things in the litterbox.

15. Mine do that.
I once read a book (no that's not the punchline) called "The Fur Person" by May Sarton. It has the 11 commandments of cats listed as part of the plot in the book. What you describe is paraphrased slightly in that book, but exactly what cats are saying when they do that.

My 20 year old cat who's diabetic, although still adorable, has definitely seen better days. How's her health?

8. That's great!!!
My old guy sleeps a lot as well. He does, however, wake up about every two hours for a snack.

13. all the time
I try to tell them "It's hardwood floors you can't bury it!" but they can't comprehend me.
I hope my cats live that long. it'll be great to have them around as much as possible.

16. O.M.G. I hope my
Sunday Girl (and my other two cats) live that long. Oh, I'd be so thankful if they could. Mine are indoor cats, but they have health problems (that they were born with.) I hope they get to live that long too.

Your baby looks so beautiful, so happy and so easy going.
