Are you one who shuts things out?
I read in this and that post quite frequently that some people can't turn their volume down quick enough when there is someone on TV that they completely disagree with.

I can understand doing that when it's just one of those days, and you don't want to hear anyone bitch about whatever cause they're bitching about. I do it myself.

But on your average day, do you mute, or yell at the TV, or can you actually sit there and just listen? Or can you sit there and just listen to someone in real, 3-D, physical life?

1. Yes
When I'm on overload it ceases to matter and off it goes whether in person or over the tube.

4. Mute and yell at TV here
Didn't used to be like that. When I yell at the TV, Hubby just looks at me and asks if they answer back.

5. Remote controls are a boon to sanity and blood pressure.
I don't watch the infomercial "new" produced in the U.S. Fortunately, real news is available on the internet and satellite that is aimed at thinking adults.

7. I do it to things on animals. Hurt animals seem beyond me
in old age. It is odd. I feel it is a duty to try and understand about people getting hurt but I rush to turn off anything about animals. It brings tears to my eyes and I have never been one for that type stuff. I blame it on old age.
