So, how many things is your computer running?

How many programs have you got running? (eg. you might have Word and Internet Explorer)

Four internet explorers on different tasks, AOL(active), windows media player, microsoft word, realplayer (I am the freak guy who listens to two songs simultaneously), notepad and calculator!

Ten total!

I used to be a minimalist about this until I downloaded the Yahoo widget engine. Now I love my widgets. Here's the breakdown: Outlook express, firefox (3 tabs open), an analog clock widget, an air america radio widget (just on my desktop, not active), a Stephanie Miller show widget(running), Yahoo weather widget, a sticky notes widget, a wireless signal widget, and bittorrent.
