2. I've seen eleven. So I've got a lot longer to live, I guess. But why o why
is the Royal Tennen-baums on that list? Or any list? It wasn't even notable enough to be bad, much less good.

Replace it with Strictly Ballroom.

3. There are a couple movies I'd take issue with, but that's a damn good list
I'm quite impressed with it! A nice mix of genres and styles and types - the list makers truly were looking for the great movies, and not just movies in their favorite genres.

It's so nice to see Touch of Evil, Alien, Three Colors: Blue (which is the best of the three, IMO), and Royal Tanenbaums on there.

34. Wow--you said it exactly!
I've seen that exact story, with slightly different characters, a hundred times over in a range of basic fiction- and script-writing courses. Totally undeserving of the hype, then and now.

Ms. Johannson and Mr. Murray are fine thespians, but the film was still as boring as a gimlet.

Looks like I have seen half the list.

I personally find the list suspicious as it does not include 12 Monkeys or The Professionl. I would also argue that the Star Wars films have a right to be there .... also, as I read the list again... L.A. Confidential should be on there.

45. I've seen 21 of them, but there are only a very few of the rest
that I even have any interest in seeing. I don't really think this is such a great list - there are a few films in there that I have seen that I thought were passable at best.

18. Wow
The Breakfast Club nearly in the top half? I'm impressed. And there are even a few female-centric movies in there. Usually movie lists are way more testosterone heavy.

Alas, flame bait, thy name is MorningGlow: While I can respect it as a weird vision, I've always thought that Apocalypse Now is overrated. Ducking and covering now.

22. The list was in part a promo for Film4 -- a film channel that used to be
pay-per-view but on Sunday became free for everyone here who can receive digital. It opened with the TV premiere of Lost in Translation and Princess Mononoke (along with several other Miyazaki films) is on next week. Apocalypse Now is on Friday and I'm sure the rest on the list will turn up over the coming months.

52. T2 is pretty entertaining
It's better than the typical action film...and you almost forget you're watching a future brain dead governor.

I think most would say it's better than the sequel and I definetely think it is...but then again, it's a lot like the original as well, but with a much larger budget. Now OTOH, if you dislike sci-fi action, well I'd probably skip it...but within that genre, it's an important film.
