End to speculation: Why Ava left DU.

Firstly, I would like to say that 'Ava leaves DU' was not rumour. I was talking to her at the time over AOL, and she was rather explicit about it.

Secondly, The DU'er called 'beware the beast man' was NOT a main part of her decision. Rest easy, man.

Thirdly, no group of people ran her off the board. (Intentionally at any rate) In other words, it is not what the speculators were referring to when they said 'same old group'.

She said she made her decision because of:

1- How much time DU'ers spend fighting these days.
2- Two specific people who did the old follow 'n' taunt, and also some insults. She expects foul language from the RW, not from friends. The posts were deleted as insults, but she'd already read them. If you are curious, two of the ones I heard were 'bitch' and 'attention whore'.

The two people will not be mentioned. I somehow doubt that anyone has a good idea who they are, I certainly was suprised about one of them, so please, no speculating in the thread.

If you fear that you accidentaly gave offense and are one of the two, pm me and I will tell you if you are one of the two. I will NOT, however, be giving out the names of the two by pm.

#1 was a very large part of her decision; so we all take some blame.

Finally, for the mods, the insulting posts had been alerted and are now removed, so no need to say 'please alert insulting posts'. :)

I hope if you continue to speak with Ava you will tell her that we will miss her and hope that she will come back if/when she feels like it.

1. People always argue and fight here. I mean ALWAYS.
2. I have been called worse names and insulted 3 ways to sunday, and the posts were never deleted, well one was after 3 days, but still...

The amount of time DU spends fighting and the amount of time DU spends getting along are equal. It just depends on what is going on at the time. Thick skins are sometimes needed. :(
