I saw Donnie Darko for the first time a few weeks ago...
That movie is haunting - can't get it out of my head! Plus the soundtrack is frickin awesome.

5. I have since found that out
after researching it...their version leaves something to be desired IMO.

Perhaps they wrote it subconsciously knowing it would in Donnie Darko lol.
