4. John C. Reilley and Melora Walters in "Magnolia"
It's just such a spontaneous and innocent moment between two such awkward, damaged characters... It chokes me up every time.

9. I didn't see that
But I'd go as far as to say I learned quite a bit about kissing from Mr. Reynolds from that buss.

First, he cradled her face in his hands.

__ Good thing
__ Bad thing

Then, he looked deeply into her eyes.

__ Good thing
__ Bad thing

Then, he paused as he started to kiss her, as if he were taking in her essence.

__ Good thing
__ Bad thing

Then he just kissed the holy living toenail polish off her.

__ Good thing
__ Bad thing

You decide.

10. to cradle a face in your hands...
Edited on Mon Jul-24-06 04:07 AM by wildhorses
well, that is meltpoint for me...and then if you get me to make eye contact before the kiss...well I am in tremble territory at that point...and the pausing thing well that is just anticipation in its finest form...and when you get tongued down to your toenails ...well, mister you better be able to carry me cos my knees will be so wobbly that I won't be able to stand on my own!!!

you now know to much about me:blush:

Movie Kiss -- It's A Wonderful Life: The "phone kiss" between George (Jimmy Stewart) and Mary (Donna Reed). How conscious they are of their closeness as they share the phone to listen to WhateverHisNameWas. And, then, the intense and emotional way he kisses her.

Television Kiss -- Gilmore Girls: The "reconciliation kiss" between Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham). It's urgent, and romantic, and very classic-movie-kiss. Plus you hear Judy Garland's "The Man That Got Away" in the background (Lorelai is watching A Star Is Born when Luke shows up at her door), which just adds to the evocativeness of it.

P.S. Speaking of that Ryder/Aniston Friends kiss, samsingh, I cracked up when Ryder's character backtracks -- after the kiss -- "I’m not in love with you ... yeah, I don’t picture your face when I make love to my boyfriend. Anyway, I gotta go."
