When someone posts a Youtube link, saying "you gotta check this out!" but without giving any indication of the subject or content of the video:

Does anyone know any programs that let you record them to your hard drive??

5. Use KeepVid to download them

It's pretty simple to use -- just copy the YouTube (or Google Video, etc, etc) link into the slot in the green box, click "download" and then a link will appear for you to right click & save as an .flv file (it's explained better on the site)
