Do baby daughters have a thing for daddies or sumthin?
Every time I'm in the room with Tavernertot, she always stares and smiles at me - for hours. She doesn't do it with mom, just me. And if I make eye contact, she starts laughing.

When we didn't see each other for a week, she REALLY got happy when she saw me.

Is this normal? Not that I mind...

2. Yep thats me
However - only mommy can calm her down if she gets really irritable.

But daddy can always make her smile. I hope I can ALWAYS make her smile.

4. There's a male/female energy thing that's non-cognitive.
Just something that's there. If you can let go of judgements and expectations, the road will show you how to drive.

5. I think Daddy's make more of an effort for a response, too
Mommies spend much more time in general child care, especially if they are breast-feeding.

My brother in law has two little girls, but he has a job that has him spending more time away than my sister does (considering she's the director of a day care program, that the kids attend!). When he's spending time with them, it's always doing fun stuff.

7. Have you ever consider that you are just funny looking?
:bounce:

Seriously my little girl does the same. She and I have a real laughfest almost every day (Morning and night). This morning Momma was waking her up and changing her and she took up on the changing table to look out the window. I was outside watering the lawn (cut it yesterday) and my wife tells me she just started hysterically laughing and bouncing up and down. I have no idea why but it sounds like you have really bonded with her-do you long for the day when you sat in a chair and watched TV as opposed to sitting on the floor and playing with her and chasing her down across the room? I do.

BTW- here is my latest baby pictures thread.
