Does anybody use Proactiv skin care?
my poor daughter, she's almost 12 and breaking out big time and she's becoming very self conscious about it, any reviews would be be appreciated.

1. Never used it myself, but my best friend swears by it
She says it's the only thing that ever helped her.

2. It worked VERY well for me
I recommend it whole-heartedly. Not only do the pimples go away, but the skin is left is beautiful condition--not dried out, red, or peeling.

3. I tried it a long time ago (when it was first out and I had acne
problems), and it would have worked fine had I not had a sensitivity to benzoyl peroxide. :( I loved the toner, but the rest of the products really irritated my face. I have two friends who use it and love it, though.

6. I had the same reaction
But it has worked very well for several people I know, and I would highly recommend it.

8. I feel your pain.
I had no idea I had that kind of sensitivity---derms had always prescribed benzoyl peroxide for my acne, and it never worked that well and made my skin very red and flaky. That had been going on since I was a teenager, and it took my current derm (started seeing him about 8 years ago) to tell me to STOP using it. :P He prescribed Klaron (topical sulfa), which worked beautifully. Thankfully, I haven't had acne problems in about three years, thanks to him.

It sucks to be in your 40s and have adult acne. I'm just glad mine has stopped!

5. Yes!
My partner is afflicted with virulent acne and it's the only thing that works for him. His dermatologist tried all kinds of drugs on him and nothing worked until he tried Proactiv. By the way, stay away from accutane. It works in the short term, but has really nasty side effects.

10. Great for some people, too harsh for others
Personally, it works well for me if I do it twice daily, the three basic steps. I would give it a try, and make sure you give it 3-4 weeks to be fully effective, as long as her skin can tolerate it. to her. 12 is hard, anyway, and pimples don't help.
