Speaking of M. N. Shymalanaman.. I saw "Night of the Living..."
"...Dead," the other night for the first time and I had absolutely no idea how much the guy ripped it off when he made Signs.

And I liked Signs when I saw it.

:grr:

Basically, it was "Night of the Living Aliens." And not just the basic plot, but the details.

They're stuck in this big old house out in the country-side, fending off horrible creatures in the middle of the night, they keep watching news reports on television, there's a father worrying about his sick child, there's scenes where they have to venture outside at night and then rush back in, and the character "Merrill"...

even has the same wardrobe and dopey haircut as "Tom."

The only real difference was the ending in "Signs" and, frankly, it stunk.

1. Night
was made in my home town. My family is buried in that cemetery in the opener and lots of cousins were zombies. They got paid $3 each for their work.
