I feel like such a slacker
Weekend's over, my room is still a mess, the laundry's only half done, I haven't flashed anybody in almost 24 hours, I never did find some shorts I liked and I never did eat dinner.

1. Awwwwww...
Y'know...there's always tomorrow. And the next day.

And hey...at least you got half the laundry done. Could've been worse.

:hi:

2. I'd have finished the laundry at least
but the plumber was here fixing the shower in the master bath and the water was off for hours.

'Cause my experience says when they're cute, you ALWAYS notice.

23. Not me lately
Which is weird. I think that's a sign I officially have it bad, that I barely notice anybody else.

5. So there you are...
Perfect validation. No way you could have finished.

You're not a slacker at all, LM...merely an unfortunate victim of circumstance.

Now...what else would you like for me to rationalize?

3. I feel pathetic too
I half-assedly picked up some things around the house.

At 10 I went to the store to get SOMETHING for dinner and I wound up getting yogurt, granola, and strawberries. I got them home and realized that I don't know where my spoons are so I couldn't eat that. So I ate three tortillas. :(

9. I am a slacker.
I remember when George Bush, father of the current son of a Bush, said Generation X were nothing but slackers. It's a badge I wear proudly. Also, I haven't forgotten several songs from the 90's that defined my gereration's future. "Loser" and "Creep" were two of my favorites. Don't feel bad about yourself. Say screw it and join us.

12. Maybe I just need to lower my expectations
Hang up the things that will wrinkle, grab some leftovers, snap a few pics in my undies and get my lazy ass to bed.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Taking time to just relax is priceless.

20. Then your body was telling you it needed some rest
For whatever reason. Give yourself a slacker weekend now and then, and you will probably get more done in between, than you would if you tried to push yourself, even if there are things that need to be done. (That is the SeattleGirl Philosophy, anyway).

I did track down a store with vegan sour cream and make onion dip too, so I gues the weekend wasn't a total wash.

I had a really big lunch and it's hot, so I really wasn't hungry. I'm still not but I'll try to eat a little something.
